PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method so as to remove aquatic plants such as water lettuce, water hyacinth, etc., capable of becoming harmful weeds economically and effectively. SOLUTION: This method for removing the aquatic plants is provided by hanging an aquatic plant-removing tool 3 by a movable wire 10A and a fixed wire 10B hang from the tip end part of an arm 2 at a track crane 1, scooping up the aquatic plants growing over a water region by the aquatic plant-removing tool 3 with the swinging, and lifting up and down operations of the arm 2 and the running out and winding back operations of the movable wire 10A, and dumping them ashore, or in the case of transferring the aquatic plants in the water region to the dumping place, surrounding the harmful weeds with a tool for gathering aquatic weed 16 consisting of a multiple number of approximately rod-formed floats 17 and string-formed members for joining the end parts of the approximately rod-formed floats 17 with each other and towing them to the dumping place by a boat, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
