The vehicle (1) has restraint systems (5-7), and an electronic stability program (ESP)-sensor (2) for determining centrifuge movement of the vehicle, where an activating threshold for the systems can be changed depending on a movement condition of the vehicle. An acceleration sensor (3) is arranged in a side area of the vehicle and is provided for sensing side collision and for activating the systems. An activating threshold of the sensor is decreased during determination of the centrifuge movement of the vehicle with respect to the normal operation.
