This invention discloses a multi-layered laminate armor wrap (10) for use with a copper or fiber optic cable (2) having at least one w absorbing fabric layer (12), at least one polymer layer (14), and at least one layer fabricated from a metal or metal alloy (16). Each la in the multi-layered laminate armor wrap (10) is fused adhered to the adjacent layers to form a fused or sealed laminate armor wrap. This invention also discloses a method of making such an armor wrap.
