<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion vector detector that prevents the number of times for accessing a memory from increasing regardless of the algorithm of motion detection, and can obtain high processing efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The motion vector detector detects the motion of a target image contained in an image comprising a plurality of pixels. The motion vector detector comprises a FIFO 201 for reading and holding image data successively in line units of pixel blocks composed of a prescribed number of pixels; a FIFO 202 for receiving the image data in line units held in the FIFO 201 for holding; and a data generator 204 that composites at least one portion of the image data held by the FIFO 201 and those held by the FIFO 202, and generates the image data of the target image and reference data to be referred to. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
