PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of illuminating an illumination region with the luminous intensity equal to that of a conventional light source even in a light source smaller than before. SOLUTION: The illumination device includes a housing 2 which can be installed in the illumination device body equipped with an imaging means 1, and arranges and supports the respective emitting ends of a plurality of light transmission means 4 so that the lights emitted from the respective emitting ends are linearly arranged to enter an illumination region 5 and all of the beams of reflected light 7 from the illumination region 5 are incident on the imaging lens 1a of the imaging means 1.
