PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic congestion information display device capable of displaying traffic congestion information in real time with a simple communication configuration. SOLUTION: This traffic congestion information display device has: a vehicle state detection means detecting a state of one's own vehicle; a traffic information reception means receiving traffic congestion information from another vehicle; a traffic congestion position decision means deciding whether a traffic jam position included in the acquired traffic congestion information is ahead of the own vehicle or not; a traffic congestion information production means producing new traffic congestion information including information about the own vehicle including the detected state of the own vehicle and forward vehicle information included in the acquired traffic congestion information when it is decided that the traffic congestion position is ahead of the own vehicle; a traffic congestion information transmission means transmitting the produced new traffic congestion information; and a traffic congestion information display means displaying the produced new traffic congestion information.
