PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform three-dimensional shape calculations efficiently by estimating a focal distance. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional shape calculation apparatus 100 comprises an image photographing section 10 which has a photographing lens to acquire a pair of photographed images by photographing an object from two directions, a rating-point search section 41 for extracting a characteristic point or a reference point and its corresponding point from the pair of photographed images, and a focal-distance estimation section 44 for estimating the focal distance of the photographing lens so that residual longitudinal parallax in mutual rating is minimized or a residual error in bundle adjustment is minimized with respect to an image for rating formed using the characteristic point or the reference point and its corresponding point extracted by the rating-point search section 41.
