PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control unit preventing synchronization of sampling timing of an A/D converter even if a main processing part is separated from a monitoring part. SOLUTION: A main microcomputer 2 periodically instruct an A/D converter 1 to perform A/D conversion of output voltage of an accelerator sensor, and notifies a sub microcomputer 3 of A/D conversion start timing through DMA communication during the instruction for the A/D conversion. When receiving the notification, the sub microcomputer 3 performs the A/D conversion of the output voltage of the accelerator sensor so as to acquire a monitoring A/D conversion value and sends a reply to the main microcomputer 2. In this way, since the main microcomputer 2 notifies the sub microcomputer 3 of the A/D conversion start timing on a sub microcomputer 3 side, the synchronization of the sampling of the main microcomputer 2 and the sub microcomputer 3 is prevented so as to prevent influence on a read value on the main microcomputer 2 side.
