PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the visual observation of cavitation generated on the pressure surface of a centrifugal type pump impeller. SOLUTION: In order to observe the pressure surface in the impeller 1 from the outside of the pump, observation windows 5, 6 and 7 manufactured of transparent resins or glass are mounted to the impeller 8 and a pump casing, and an auxiliary torque transmission part for compensating a lack degree of torque transmission is provided. Thereby, a cavitation visualization area can be enlarged as much as possible while retaining the strength of the impeller. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
