PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balance weight-attaching structure of a fishing rod capable of ensuring sufficient amount of balancers even if the length to the top rod is long and keeping a downward posture, corresponding to the change of posture of the fishing rod. SOLUTION: In the structure for attaching balance weight of the fishing rod, a balance weight case 3 in which balance weights 2 are stored is supported in a hung state through arms 4 and 4 so as to enable relative swinging around a horizontal axis perpendicular to a rod axis of a base rod 1 in a rear end part tilting toward a rod tail side from a grip part 1E of the base rod 1, and when a sweetfish rod A is kept in a horizontal posture, balance to weight on the top rod side is ensured.
