PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric spinning reel whose clutch can comfortably be switched. SOLUTION: This electric spinning reel having a clutch mechanism 18 which makes it possible to drive a spool 7 for winding a line thereon by a driving motor 8 and a manual handle 6 disposed in a reel body 5 and can switch the spool 7 into a power-transmitting state or a power-interrupting state is characterized in that a clutch-operating member 40 is locked and fit to a rotator 39 capable of being rotated by a driving motor 8 and a manual handle 6 so as to be moved in the axial direction, and an engaging portion 40a formed on one side of the clutch-operating member 40 can be engaged or disengaged relative to an engaging portion 7h integrally rotated with the spool 7.
