A setting change method in a mobile device for receiving e-mail and program. The method and program determine whether a setting change identification for changing a setting of the mobile device exists in received e-mail and automatically open the e-mail when the setting change identification exists. The method and program also change a setting of a main part of the mobile device, an IC card for communication, and an IC card for settlement in accordance with an instruction in the e-mail.
