An electric tactile display comprising an electrode substrate (4) provided with a plurality of stimulus electrodes (5), a conductive gel layer (7) interposed between the stimulus electrodes (5) and the skin of a user, a switching circuit section (6A) connected electrically with the stimulus electrodes (5), a stimulus pattern creating section (2A) connected electrically with the switching circuit section (6A), and a means for relaxing occurrence feeling occurring in the user. The means for relaxing the occurrence feeling comprises the conductive gel layer (7) having a resistance equivalent to that of skin keratin. The means for relaxing the occurrence feeling comprises an electric stimulus judging means for providing an electric stimulus based on the threshold of a stimulus judgment function, and a means for regulating the threshold.
