<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient support apparatus having removable and stowable deck with a joint motion. <P>SOLUTION: A patient support apparatus includes a patient support deck which can move from a use position to a stowed position. The patient support deck is constructed so as to be engaged with a receiver of the patient support apparatus in its cantilevered configuration. The patient support deck is constructed so as to be secured to the patient support apparatus by the locking mechanism.
