PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakdown of paper sheets by preventing a paper feeding cassette from being drawn during the time when papers are fed from the paper feeding cassette. SOLUTION: The paper feeding device is provided with the paper feeding cassette 10, a pick up roller 14 and an output gear 16 arranged in a support shaft 12, and an input gear 22 arranged in an input shaft 18 and engaged with the output gear 16. A spring clutch means 30 is arranged in the input shaft 18 through a one-way clutch 26. The spring clutch means 30 is provided with a collar 33, and a rib 34 is integrally arranged with the collar 33. The rib 34 is energized in a reverse rotating direction by a tensile coil spring 35. The paper feeding cassette 10 is formed with a projecting part 11, and the projecting part 11 is formed with a receiver groove 11A for receiving the rib 34 to stop it. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
