STERILIZATION METHOD AND STERILIZATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization method capable of sterilizing a lid uniformly with a sufficient sterilization effectiveness. SOLUTION: The method for sterilizing the lid of a container is equipped with a process which makes liquid adhere to at least either a supporting member 32 for supporting the lid 10 or the lid and a process which impresses a high-voltage pulse across an electrode 50 in an electric discharging side arranged in the side for supporting the lid of the supporting member and an electrode 58 in an grounding side arranged opposed to the electrode in the electric discharging side with sandwiching the supporting member. If the high-voltage pulse is impressed, atmospheric pressure plasma is generated between the electrode in the electric discharging side and the electrode in the grounding side.
