PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-accuracy lead screw inexpensively manufactured and having the high dimensional accuracy, the high concentricity and the high straightness at a screw shaft and a motor shaft. SOLUTION: The lead screw 10 comprises the screw shaft 20, and the motor shaft 30. The screw shaft 20 and the motor shaft 30 concentrically extend. The screw shaft 20 has a screw forming section 21 for forming a rolled male screw on an outer surface, and a bearing 23 disposed at an end opposite to the motor shaft. The motor shaft 30 has a rotor magnet fitting section 31, and a bearing 33 disposed at an end opposite to the screw forming section. As for this lead screw, a grinding shaft is pressed into a round bar blank as the screw shaft 20, becomes at least bearing 23 in the motor shaft 30, and is processed by a screw rolling process.
