PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design an actuator for an optical scanning device having moment of inertia reduced by having a reduced mass. SOLUTION: The actuator for an optical scanning device is equipped with a focus lens 3 fixed in a lens holder 2, a damper base 4 fixedly connected to a support 5, magnet arrangements 7, 7' arranged on the support 5, and a coil arrangement for interacting with the magnet arrangements 7, 7' on a printed circuit board 8 for fine positioning of the focus lens 3, wherein the printed circuit board 8 is connected to the damper base 4 by an elastically flexible and contractible suspension means 9 arranged on both sides of a longitudinal axis of the actuator 1. To achieve this object, the printed circuit board 8 is at the same time a support board of the lens holder 2, and both the printed circuit board 8 and the lens holder 2 constitute a movable part 12 of the actuator 1.
