PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the unexpected movement of a slider that is used to maintain a clamped state of a disk in an optical pickup operational mode. SOLUTION: This disk device is provided with a first cam mechanism 100 that is connected to a pinion 32 for sending the slider 30 toward a backward movement limitation position, a disk transfer mechanism 80 for transferring the disk D released from the clamped state to a disk tray 50, and a second cam mechanism 200 for connecting the disk tray 50 to a disk tray discharge mechanism. The device is provided with a stopper 62 for engaging with a receiving part 36 of the slider 30 to prevent the slider 30 from performing backward movement when the slider 30 performs forward movement to reach the forward movement limitation position. The device has a positioning release mechanism 70 for releasing an engaged state of the stopper 62 in the receiving part 36 of the slider 30.
