PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of achieving stable paper transport by roller rotation control that takes into consideration the time-lapse change in the paper transport speed of rollers of a fixing device. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 provided with a transfer device 2 for transferring a toner image, constituting an image to paper and a fixing device 3 for sending the paper sent from the transfer device 2 into a gap between rotating members comprising a heat roller 31 and a pressure roller 32 and heating and pressurizing the toner image to the paper is further provided with a memory 13 for storing the time-lapse change data of a paper feed speed to the number of times of processing of the paper by the rotating members; a fixing device counter 12 for detecting the number of times of the processings of paper by the rotating members; and a control part 5 for reading out the time-lapse change data of the paper feed speed from the memory 13, according to the number of times of processing the paper which is detected by the fixing device counter 12 and controlling the rotational speed of the rotating members so as to offset the change with respect to passage of time.
