In addition, the supply amount of the oxygen-enriched gas is controlled so as to vary according to the cooling water temperature Tw. As a result, the oxygen concentration of gas supplied into the exhaust pipe 210 is increased for a period when the warm-up of the engine 200 is insufficient, and the combustion reaction of substances discharged into the exhaust pipe 210 such as HC which is an unburned substance and CO which is an incompletely burned substance is promoted.
