PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical controller allowing a user to easily and rapidly edit machining data when editing the machining data used for machining control of a machine tool. SOLUTION: In a machining center displaying a prescribed data editing screen when prescribed input operation through a plurality of operation procedures is performed, when a program editing button is depressed continuously over 3 sec (S1: YES), a new program creation screen is directly displayed (S7) when a set value S is '1', a latest update program editing screen is directly displayed (S11) when the set value S is '2', and a memory operation program editing screen is directly displayed (S15) when the set value S is '3'.
