PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a data communication function which is capable of stable visible light communication and allows an image like a moving image to be displayed on a display face as desired even during visible light communication. SOLUTION: A first digital camera 2 includes a LCD panel 43 capable of displaying an image and a LED 41 for radiating the LCD panel 43 with illuminating light and is configured so that an image to be displayed on the LCD panel 43 is processed in accordance with brightness of this image before display of the image on the LCD panel 43 and the LED 41 is blinked with the processed image on the LCD panel 43 to transmit an optical signal.
