A memory device comprises a main memory for storing data, an antenna for receiving wireless communications, a radio module connected to the antenna, a power supply for supplying power to the radio module and indicating means connected to the radio module. The indicating means is arranged to output a visible or audible indication to the user in response to a communication received by the radio module, the communication including a reference to data stored by the main memory. A secondary memory may be provided on the memory device that stores information concerning the data stored on the main memory.
