MEDICAMENT DELIVERY CONTROL, MONITORING, AND REPORTING SYSTEM AND METHOD

A smart medicament delivery device such as an inhaler or nebulizer is provided, having a housing having an aerosolization chamber therein, particle generation means and means for holding a prescribed medicine. An intelligent interface acquires information from a medicament associated tag such as an RFID tag that relates to validity of the medicament (expiry date, authorization, dosage information, medicament ID). The interface validates the medicament against a stored database and further provides optimization parameters to the delivery device to provide correct dosage and optimized delivery of the medicament to the user.
