<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell, a fuel cell and a fuel cell stack suitable for miniaturization of a size in a columnar direction. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell comprises the fuel cell stack which is constructed by stacking a plurality of cell main units 11 each of which is constituted of a fuel electrode, an oxidant electrode and a solid polymer electrolyte membrane sandwiched between the fuel electrode and the oxidant electrode, through the separators 12 to 14. A plural rows of cell main units are constituted by arranging the fuel electrodes and the oxidant electrodes interposing the solid electrolyte membrane at a plurality of the regions. Regions of the separators 12 to 14 for being stacked with the fuel electrodes or the oxidant electrodes are made of a conductive material, and perimeter regions around the regions made of the conductive material are made of a nonconducting material. The fuel cell stack having the plural rows of the cells of the fuel cell is constructed by sandwiching the plural rows of the cells of the fuel cell with the separators. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
