<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide basic brick which has no problem about chemical stability to a cement raw material compared to conventional magnesia-spinel basic brick, is suppressed in reaction with sulfur oxide, can extend its service life, is excellent in durability and is suitable for a cement firing rotary kiln. <P>SOLUTION: The basic brick is formed by firing the component mainly composed of spinel and magnesia. The basic brick has a chemical composition of ≥34 mass% and ≤59 mass% MgO, ≥40 mass% and ≤65 mass% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and ≥95 mass% and ≤99 mass% in total of MgO and Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
