PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy of a zero-point position when detecting the zero-point position when canceling a brake in a brake device.
SOLUTION: An electric motor is rotated in a brake canceling direction in a process for making the brake from an operated state to a non-operated state in an electric disc brake. A pressing force applied to a brake pad is reduced and a braking force is reduced. When a decreasing gradient of the pressing force becomes more gentle than a set gradient, a rotating position of the electric motor at a point of the time is made as a temporary zero-point position. A position on an advance side by an amount β determined by a non-reset amount of the brake pad is made as the zero-point position. Thus, the zero-point position is detected by considering the non-reset amount of the brake pad when canceling the brake, and thereby energy consumption can be reduced as compared with the case that the brake is operated since the zero-point position is detected, and the zero-point position can be exactly acquired as compared with the case that the non-reset amount is not considered.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
