<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform refresh independently of whether the quality of a transmission path is good or bad by quickly updating a screen and an image error even for a terminal not transmitting a refresh request. <P>SOLUTION: An image transmission apparatus 1 is provided with a means for controlling an image update function of the terminal 20 that transmits no image update request signal. The update of the image of the terminal 20 not transmitting the image update request signal is carried out by controlling an image update time through the use of error production cause information for an error caused when transmitting the image to the terminal 20.
