<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece, capable of correcting the positional deviations of indicating needles where the movement of the indicating needle is stopped, in a prescribed period. <P>SOLUTION: In the timepiece 100 which implements a normal movement of needles a second hand 202, a minute hand 203 and an hour hand 204 are forced by the step drive with a predetermined period and a time correcting operation making the time indicated by the second hand 202, the minute hand 203 and the hour hand 204 match with the time timed by a internal watch 1041a, based on the position of hands specified by detecting the detection light passing through an optic opening prepared on a indicator vehicle; the second hand 202 is stopped during the period, where predetermined stopping conditions is satisfied in the usual movement of needles. During the period the stopping conditions are satisfied, when the time timed by a built-in watch 1041a is the time the an optical opening on the indicator vehicle for the minute hand 203 and the hour hand 204 makes the detection light pass through it, the timepiece 100 drives the second hand 202, while stopping the minute hand 203 and the hour hand 204, to detect the position of the second hand 202 by detecting the detection light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
