<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label attached with a release paper in which a bar code with information showing a printable number of pieces of the label is printed by only a predetermined length from a starting end side of the release paper on one face of the release paper. <P>SOLUTION: The label is used in which individual pieces of the label 14 are pasted to a front face of the release paper 12 and the bar code is printed to a rear face by only the predetermined length from the starting end side of the release paper. In this case, a reading mode of bar code information starts prior to movement to a printing mode. Moreover, in the reading mode, the bar code information is read and the value is displayed while the release paper is conveyed emptily. Next, when the results of comparison of information on the printable number of pieces read twice agree, the information is displayed on a display part. Processing of updating the printable number of pieces is carried out every time processing of printing to the individual piece of the label finishes, and a residual amount of the label is displayed. Also, a subtraction processing result is displayed, making it possible to know how many pieces can be printed afterwards or how many of the individual pieces of the label are already printed. When the final individual piece of the label pasted to a terminal end side of the release paper is detected, a display that the label with the release paper (rolled sheet) should be replaced is made, urging replacement of the rolled sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
