<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device allowing an owner and a user to easily change and designate a standby story floor of an elevator car. <P>SOLUTION: This elevator device has the reference story returning function of making the car 1 standby by calling the car 1 to a specific story floor when there is no call of an elevator for a predetermined time; and has a portable radio operation device 5 having a story floor setting means 5b setting a story floor call and transmitting and receiving a signal by a radio wave, and a radio receiver 6 connected to an elevator control device 4 and outputting a signal to the elevator control device 4 when receiving the signal from the radio operation device 5.
