PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve information strongly experienced in the past when re-browsing seems to be of values. SOLUTION: This information retrieval method includes: acquiring the storage place information of a file browsed in the past by a user from an operation history DB based on a retrieval request; calculating file conforming scores for every file browsed in the past by the user, based on the storage place information, and calculating experience scores from the operation history information; calculating integral scores from the file conforming scores and experience scores by using the operation history information, and acquiring the file by retrieving the information of an arbitrary range as an universe; calculating the similarity of the file to the file browsed in the past; calculating display priority from the similarity and the integral scores; preparing a retrieval result to be displayed by associating the file browsed in the past with high display priority with the retrieval result of the file as the universe; and transmitting it to the retrieval origin.
