PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber structure developing the intrinsic performance of inorganic fine particles by ashing the resin layer covering the surface of the inorganic fine particles. SOLUTION: The fiber structure contains inorganic fine particles exhibiting photocatalytic function, having an average primary particle diameter of 1-50 nm and a specific surface area of≤300 m<SP>2</SP>/g and fixed to a fiber with a binder resin at an A/B weight ratio of 2-10 wherein A is the solid component of the inorganic fine particles and B is the solid component of the binder resin, and the fiber structure is subjected to electric discharge treatment and/or ultraviolet treatment in a non-polymerizable gas atmosphere.
