PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a vehicle wheel capable of simply and highly precisely manufacturing the vehicle wheel which has a hollow air chamber in a rim for mounting a tire, is excellent in mechanical strength, and can obtain a stable traveling. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the vehicle wheel manufactures the vehicle wheel which has the rim 2 for mounting the tire, and the plurality of hollow air chambers 5 in the rim 2. A vehicle wheel front drive body 3 wherein the surface of the tire mounting side of the portion having a plurality of air chambers 5 formed on the rim 2 is opened is obtained by casting, the lid member 4 is disposed so as to cover the portion where the air chamber 5 of the obtained vehicle wheel front drive body 3 is formed, and afterward the surface of the vehicle wheel front drive body 3 and the lid member 4 is machined to have the plurality of hollow air chambers 5 in the rim 2.
