<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage and/or current separation system for a conductive fluid cooling type fuel cell stack. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 20 is composed of a conductive coolant which flows in a fuel cell and the fuel cell which has a high voltage direct current (HVDC) bus 22 inter-connected with the fuel cell 24. An active separation circuit 29 includes coolant fault current sensors 62, 64 which detect a fault current (also referred to as a residual current) in the coolant and generate a fault signal when the fault current is detected. A switching circuit 32 compensates the fault current, based on the fault signal and changes a direction of the fault current to provide an active fault current control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
