PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output system suitable for reducing power consumption without increasing time until starting an output process in an authentication output system.

SOLUTION: A user authentication device 200 reads authentication information from an authentication card, determines usage eligibility of print data based on the read authentication information, and transmits a power save release instruction to a network printer 300 when being determined as having the usage eligibility. The network printer 300 shifts to a power saving state from a warm up state when receiving the power save release instruction.
