<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide power supply controller and control method in which power consumption can be reduced more effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply controller 100 comprises a first load RL<SB>1</SB>operating on a first DC voltage but not operating on a voltage lower than the first DC voltage, a second load RL<SB>2</SB>operating on a second DC voltage lower than the first DC voltage, a first power supply section 110 connected with the first load RL<SB>1</SB>, a second power supply section 130 having a control circuit 132 for converting the voltage of the first power supply section 110 and connected with the second load RL<SB>2</SB>, and a power saving control section 140 for stopping the control circuit 132 of the second power supply section 130, and setting the output voltage from the first power supply section 110 at the second DC voltage supplied to the second load RL<SB>2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
