SYSTEM FOR GENERATING VIRTUAL REALITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stereoscopic vision of the polarization control system by only one video projecting means while restraining the polarization state of video light viewed by an observer from being spoiled and decreasing halation.

SOLUTION: A system includes: polarizing spectacles 4 in which a polarizing filter for a right eye 4R and a polarizing filter for a left eye 4L are formed; a screen 2; a video generating device 5 generating a video signal for a right eye and a video signal for a left eye; a time-division projector 1 switching and emitting the video light for the right eye and the video light for the left eye in a prescribed cycle; and a time-division polarizing filter 3 capable of switching a state where it makes the video light for the right eye out of the emitted video light pass and a state where it makes the video light for the left eye pass. A synchronizing device 6 establishes synchronization of the switching cycle of a state where the time-division projector 1 projects the video light for the right eye and a state where it projects the video light for the left eye with the switching cycle of the state where the time-division polarizing filter 3 makes the video light for the right eye pass and the state where it makes the video light for the left eye pass.
