PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder suitable for the strike operating mode by simplifying the structure likely to become complicated. SOLUTION: The tool holder to be coupled removably with a tool spindle 1 is equipped with a guide sleeve 3 having an opening 4 for a plurality of fastening elements to grasp the tool spindle 1 displaceably in the radial direction and a fastening sleeve 6 displaceable manually for fastening the fastening elements about the displacing direction, wherein the fastening elements are each formed as a tilting segment 5, which has a bearing part 7 fixed stationarily about the axial direction and a fastening part 8 tilting in the radial direction and intruding into the opening 4 in the guide sleeve 3. A circular arc portion 19 is provided in the bearing part 7 of each tilting segment 5. A gliding surface 10 equipped with steps in the radial direction is provided outside in radial direction of the tilting segment 5 and arranged able to be fastened to two fastening positions by displacing manually the fastening surface 11 of the fastening sleeve 6 installed in such a way as to suit the gliding surface 10.
