PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a microcapsule having heat resistance, strength, and transparency not using conventional aldehydes having high hazardousness, and the like. SOLUTION: The method for producing the microcapsule comprises forming the microcapsule by hardening an essential capsule membrane substance with a compound having a carbodiimide group, the essential capsule membrane substance comprising a hydrophilic colloid having a carboxyl group.
