PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for judging abnormality of an intercooler capable of appropriately judging abnormality of the intercooler without newly adding a sensor for abnormality judgment. SOLUTION: The device 1 for judging abnormality of the intercooler 11 provided in an intake system 4 of an internal combustion engine 3 and cooling intake air supplied to the internal combustion engine 3, is provided with intake air quantity control means 2, 12 controlling intake air quantity, an intake air temperature detection means 23 detecting temperature of intake air on a downstream side of the intercooler 11, an intake air temperature change quantity calculation means 2 calculating intake air temperature change quantityΔTA detected by the intake air temperature detection means when quantity of intake air is changed by the intake air quantity control means, and an abnormality judgment means 2 judging abnormality of the intercooler 11 based on the calculated intake air temperature change quantity.
