PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing iron powder having an Si concentration gradient layer at the inside for producing various electromagnetic circuit parts requiring high specific resistance. SOLUTION: The method for producing iron powder having an Si concentration gradient at the inside is characterized in that Si powder or ferrosilicon powder is added to nitrided iron powder, so as to be mixed, and the mixture is heated at 300 to 900°C in a vacuum or in a hydrogen atmosphere.
