PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving body control device for reducing a burden of a driver by facilitating positioning work of a moving body when moving the moving body to a different lane, a moving body using this control device, and a moving body control method. SOLUTION: A transfer crane 11 (the moving body) moves on a container yard 1 (a traveling area) provided with a plurality of lanes L in substantially parallel, and is provided with a guideline detector 46 (a sign detector) detecting an automatic steering guideline 42 (a travel guiding sign) arranged on the respective lanes L and a movement control device 48 controlling operation of the transfer crane 11. The movement control device 48 is constituted for adjusting a position of the transfer crane 11 to the detected automatic steering guideline 42 by determining as reaching a lane L of a moving destination by the fact that the guideline detector 46 detects the automatic steering guideline 42 corresponding to the lane L of the moving destination when the transfer crane 11 moves to the different lane L.
