PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain interference of an airbag to be deployed before collision with an airbag to be deployed after collision in an airbag device provided separately with such airbags. SOLUTION: This airbag device for protecting an occupant from impacts of head-on collision of a vehicle has a predicted phenomenon detection means for detecting a predetermined phenomenon to predict the collision of the vehicle, and a collision detection means for detecting the collision of the vehicle. The device has a double-airbag structure comprising a first airbag to be deployed in front of the occupant based on detection results of the predicted phenomenon detection means, and a second airbag 41 disposed inside the first airbag and capable of being more quickly deployed in front of the occupant than the first airbag based on detection results of the collision detection means.
