PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-treating method of a wood fiber plate which carries out coloring of the plate, enhances the peel strength of the plate and is inexpensively feasible with fewer processes. SOLUTION: The heat-treating method comprises mixing an acrylic or a styrene-butadiene (SB) type emulsion with a pigment and a surfactant to prepare a treating agent, impregnating a wood fiber plate with the treating agent and hot-pressing the plate impregnated with the treating agent to form a film of the treating agent impregnated in the plate.
