PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the fraudulent exchange of a ROM storing a control program of a game machine. SOLUTION: A game machine controller 20 is provided with a one-chip microcomputer. The ROM 33 stores the control program in a game area 33a and stores a judgement program in a CMP area 33b. A CPU 31 compares the control program with a master program read from a master ROM 100 according to the judgement program and turns the signal level of a CKR terminal high or low corresponding to a result. Depending on the signal level of the CKR terminal, an LED 41 or an LED 43 is lighted. Since the microcomputer 30 itself holds the judgement program, it is not needed to externally output the contents of the ROM 33. Thus, a structure incapable of reading the contents of the ROM 33 to the outside is made possible.
