The clamp has an insulating housing (1) and a spring biased clamp connector for connecting an electric lead to a current rail (2) in the housing. The connector is formed as a spring cage (3) having a clamp arm (7) with a recess through which the current rail extends and a stop arm which extends through the recess. A cylindrical actuator element (4) in the housing has an external thread and is arranged on the clamp arm (8) above the point of intersection of that arm and the force arm (7).
