A seasickness prevention bed in a ship and a controlling method thereof are provided to secure a minimum residence space for passengers to take a rest by preventing seasickness through a motor in the bed. A seasickness prevention bed in a ship includes a mat unit, a sensing unit, a controlling unit, a rolling preventing unit, and a pitching/heaving preventing unit. The mat unit includes an upper mat(145) and a lower mat(155). The sensing unit detects rolling, pitching, and heaving of the ship. The controlling unit generates a plurality of control signals in response to a detection signal generated by the sensing unit. The rolling preventing unit is controlled by a first control signal among the plurality of control signals, and reverse-rolls the lower mat. The pitching/heaving preventing unit is controlled by a second control signal among the plurality of control signals, and reverse-pitches and reverse-heaves the lower mat.
