An open end spinning assembly has a rotor housing with a cap closure. The cap incorporates an interchangeable duct plate adapter through which pass both the fiber feed and the discharging yarn. The yarn discharges through a jet and a twist accumulation element with an essentially central yarn outlet. The twist accumulation element is inserted directly within the duct plate adapter. In the direction of discharge (B), the twist accumulation element (117) is the last yarn guide component joined to the lid closure (2). Further claimed are a duct plate adapter, a twist accumulation element, a yarn discharge jet and a commensurate aggregate unit assembled from these parts.
